ABOUT ME

Fashion is a subject that I am completely fascinated by. The fast pace of the industry excites me and is something I'm looking forward to being a part of. I believe Manchester will help me further my creativity and individuality. After completing a BTEC National Diploma and a Foundation Diploma, I am certain design is the field I want to go in to.

FASHION FILM

ENTRAPMENT-STILLS

Entrapment was a fashion film I made with a small team of fashion and graphic students. It questions the restraints of everyday life such as gender, sexual orientation and fashion as a industry.

LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Design board- Little Black Dress

For this project I had to design a little black dress inspired by the sixties. I visited London's V&A 'Swinging Sixties' exhibition to gather research. My dress was entered into a competition run by Centrepiece jewellery company and was awarded second place.

FINAL MAJOR COLLECTION

Sketchbook pages from Final Major Project:

I based my final major project on the twenties, taking inspiration from womens promiscuous attitudes. Through my designs I wanted to portray this care free, frivolous view they had on life. Al Capone was the inspiration for the print and embroidery on the garments. This researched developed into four outfits that were showcased at our end of year fashion show.

LIFE DRAWING

Here are two examples from my life drawing classes. The first is a two minute blind line drawing. The second is a piece where I concentrated on tone and proportion.
